We’re over the rock ‘n’ roll moon to have Glunk Records on-board for the release of “Who’s Gonna Save My Soul?” We both share the same DIY ethics so it was a no-brainer to team up. Proper excited!
The first mixes of the single were done yesterday and it’s sounding great already. Just a few tweaks here and there over the coming weeks before it’s ready for public consumption. Seeing as we recorded it ourselves in our Merthyr Dungeon rehearsal space on a posh 4 track, we’re a little bit proud of the outcome and cannot wait to chuck it out there for free.
The drumming man, myth and legend that is Paul Black is on it! He’s been in The Dungeon, the rings were off and he banged through the set 7 times on the trot! The man’s a machine!! Exciting times as it all comes together.
Also, we’ve another gig booked, this time in that London come August 2017. Hopefully the promoters will go live with the details soon.
Time to put the shittiness of 2016 in the background and crack on with aplomb in 2017. From now onwards it’s practise, practise, practise to set the Nicotine Pretty ship sailing. The 14 songs in that there cupboard (above) are ready for full rock ‘n’ roll action in our rehearsal and recording space we like to call the Merthyr Dungeon. The time has come to make them come alive. Wooooo!!!
Our first gig is pencilled in, and although we’re not allowed to announce it just yet, it’s a bit of a beaut. We hope to get a debut CD/DL EP released by the Spring/Summer with the ambition of a vinyl LP release to follow in the latter stages of 2017.
We wish you all a happy and healthy New Year. Stay tuned to our Facebook and Twitter pages for up to date happenings.
